59: Portland Weather for February 28, 2026

Good morning, it's February Twenty Eight, Two Thousand Twenty Six! And it's a Saturday! Here in Portland, Oregon. It's six fifty in the morning and I'm looking out over the city and it is gray. Just gray. A flat, quiet gray, the kind that sits over everything like a wool blanket. Very still right now. Thirty-six degrees Fahrenheit, around two Celsius. There's a little frost on the railing out here. The city below is just waking up, lights still on in the windows, and that cold air smells like wet pine and earth. Now today is day one of weekend projects. Get your coffee, get your materials together, wood or paint or whatever calls to you, and get to work. Should be going up to around fifty-three Fahrenheit about twelve Celsius, and Mr. Gray Gloom looks like he's planning to stay with us most of the day. Some rain may visit us tonight.
