50: Portland Weather for February 19, 2026

Good morning, it's February Nineteen, Two Thousand Twenty Six! And it's a Thursday! Here in Portland, Oregon. Looking out the window right now and the snow from yesterday is mostly gone. Just patches here and there, clinging to the shady spots. Thirty-six degrees Fahrenheit, around two Celsius. There is a chance of rain and snow showers today but the real cold comes tonight. Down to thirty-one, just below freezing. A light north wind. This afternoon going up to around forty-four, seven Celsius, so it will warm up a bit before it drops again. The kind of day where you want a good jacket in the morning and might not need it by noon. Now there is a little wood-fired pizza shop in St. Johns, by where that cathedral of a bridge is, called Gracie's Apizza. One guy, Craig Melillo, runs the whole thing mostly by himself. Makes about seventy ten-inch pies a night. Open Thursday through Saturday, five to eight, and that's it. Seventy pizzas. One man. One oven. There is something I really like about that. A guy who decided exactly what he wanted to do and how much of it he wanted to do and then he just does that. No apologies. If the snow clears by this weekend, go get yourself a pizza.
